Unai Emery will have a plan to deal with Manchester City despite a run of poor form, according to an Aston Villa expert.
The Citizens travel to Villa Park on Saturday (21 December) on a run of one win in 11 games compounded by two late goals in a defeat against Manchester United last time out.
The Villans will be keen to bounce back from a defeat against Nottingham Forest and look set to face Pep Guardiola at the “perfect time” according to Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Dan Bardell.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “I’ve still got fond memories of that game last season, it was my favourite ever performance from a Villa team, we were absolutely brilliant.
“They’re in a real slump at the moment and everyone is looking for a reason but it is very clear when you look at their win percentage without Rodri, it’s not very good.
“Things can change but at the moment it is the perfect time to play them but I’m very wary of how quickly their form can change.
