Man City join the race of primary Chelsea target

Man City have joined the race to sign highly rated English star who is the top priority of Chelsea. The Blues are keen to make a move next year but will now have heavy competition from their Premier League rivals.

The star in question is Marc Guehi who started his career at Chelsea. The 24 year old was sold by the Blues in 2021 to Crystal Palce. Guehi then went on to become on of the best defenders currently playing in Premier League.

Guehi has made a big name for himself and is now even a regular player for England national team. He was a regular starter for the Three Lions in the Euro 2024. His improvement has rewarded him with interest from many top clubs.

The Blues are keen to sign Guehi back in order to improve their defence. They have been highly improved under Enzo Maresca but their defence still seems to lack a spark. The West London outfit are planning to bring Guehi back in order to compete for the major titles.

Guehi is club captain right now and Crystal Palace are unwilling to sell him. But, they do have to accept the deal if a right offer comes their way. Guehi will be open to join a top club where he can play in European competitions.

Despite the interest from City, the Blues still have a lead in the race for Guehi. They have a sell-on clause included in the 24 year old’s current contract. This will allow them to sign the player on discount.
