Richarlison and Victor Anichebe have instantly reacted to Everton announcing that their takeover has been officially completed.

After what had felt like a long wait for completion, the Toffees announced that The Friedkin Group are the new owners of the club on Thursday [19 December].

The takeover ends what has been a tough era for the club under Farhad Moshiri and it seems as though many at the club, both current and former, are pleased to see the deal completed.

After Everton announced the news with a post on Instagram, former players Richarlison and Anichebe reacted.

Tottenham star Richarlison simply liked the post Everton put on Instagram while Anichebe replied saying: “Finally.”

Everton underway in a new era

Given the fact that Anichebe played for the Blues up until 2013 and Richarlison joined the club in 2018, it shows how the news of the takeover is seen a positive by all of those associated with the club after what has been some very difficult times on Merseyside.

Although the Brazillian displayed some mixed form at Goodison Park during his time with the club, Richarlison also played some good football and his transfer fee was a massive boost to the Toffees.

However, although there is plenty of work to be done looking forward, supporters will now be hoping they can eventually get some of the better standard of players through the door as they look to progress.

Attention will turn immediately to supporting Sean Dyche in the upcoming transfer window to ensure survival in the Premier League this season.

But looking forward, the Blues will no doubt feel some optimism that better days are returning.

n other Everton news, this Premier League striker has been linked to Goodison Park ahead of the January transfer window.
