TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have taken steps to sign Jamal Musiala, who has a dream destination in mind.
Arsenal’s interest in Musiala first emerged in September, as his current contract at Bayern Munich expires in 2026. Liverpool’s interest in Musiala’s signature came to light in April, which is a testament to their longstanding interest in one of the best midfielders in Europe.
Manchester City sent scouts to watch Musiala in action, as he scored the winner in Bayern’s 1-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League last month.
While the German international’s ties to Chelsea stem from his days playing at Cobham as a youth player.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City discover ideal Jamal Musiala transfer
TBR Football’s chief transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey has been informed that Jamal Musiala sees himself playing his football in Spain, with both Real Madrid and Barcelona keeping a close eye on his contractual situation.
Meanwhile, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are also monitoring whether Musiala will extend his contract beyond 2026, as they have been in regular contact with his representatives to enquire about his plans for the future.
Bayern Munich are extremely concerned about the 21-year-old’s future, as they continue to struggle to tie him down to a brand-new contract, with just 18 months left on his deal.
Bayern’s intention was that heading into 2025, Musiala would sign a contract extension, spending the past six months in trying to persuade him to put pen to paper while trying to seal a move for Florian Wirtz.
The German giants were keen to pair the in-form dribbler with Wirtz at the Allianz Arena, who Bayer Leverkusen expect to pen a fresh contract now as well.
As for Musiala’s long list of suitors, their view is that such an outstanding talent is rarely on the market, prompting them to take steps to try and lure him into a move.
Previously, Bayern were confident Musiala would extend his contract but a sense of uncertainty has seeped into his next career step.
What has Jamal Musiala said about his future recently?
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund described the youngster as a “world-class player” and the type of entertainers fans flock to stadiums to watch in action.
Speaking to Sport BILD on Wednesday, Musiala confirmed that he has not signed a contract at Bayern.
“Unfortunately, I can’t give the fans a Christmas present. There won’t be any news in the near future.”
“We’ve had a lot of games recently, a lot of travelling. My focus is to concentrate on the games. I want to be free on the pitch, even if there’s a lot of pressure from outside.”
The challenge that presents itself for Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester City is not just to persuade Musiala from leaving Bayern but also not to pursue a move to La Liga.
