Barcelona have been celebrated Alejandro Balde’s 100th appearance for the club in training on Thursday.
Balde actually notched the landmark last time out against Leganes [but it wasn’t a great time to celebrate due to the poor result at Montjuic](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/12/15/24320180/barcelona-leganes-la-liga-final-score-match-report-recap-reactions).
However, the club did make a fuss of the left-back at the Ciutat Esportiva on Thursday. Captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen was on hand to present Balde with a special jersey.
The squad also posed for a photograph to commemorate the milestone.
After a couple of days off earlier in the week, Barcelona are currently preparing for a huge game against Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
Hansi Flick’s side have stumbled recently in domestic competition, while Atletico are absolutely flying and can move three points clear with a win.
However, Barcelona really need a result and have an excellent record against Diego Simeone’s side. In fact the Atletico boss has never beaten Barca away from home.
