**The prospect of a Kieran Tierney return to Celtic has dominated the news cycle over the last 24 hours.**
Tierney was back in the Arsenal team for their League Cup win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night. He is overcoming injury issues and could soon be set for big decisions on his future.
Reports indicate that Arsenal will not be taking up an option to extend his contract by a year, meaning he is free to speak to potential suitors on a pre-contract basis in January.
Celtic are said to be one of the clubs interested in his signature, although many will likely be chasing the 27-year-old.
It's believed that Tierney - earning a six-figure weekly wage in London - is willing to take a significant pay cut to return to Scotland and reunite with Brendan Rodgers, should interest firm up.
There's clearly a long way to go before the left-back is playing in green and white, but it's transfer speculation that is unlikely going to go away until the defender makes his next move.
Hamish Carton, Tony Haggerty and Ryan McGinlay were all on The Celtic Way's Morning Briefing panel on Thursday to discuss the story and other transfer rumours this week.
Michel-Ange Balikwisha has also been in the headlines in recent days as Celtic ramp up their preparations to strengthen Rodgers' squad for a busy second half of the season.
