Chelsea have verbally agreed contract for£23m player to join the club permanently next summer - journalist

Chelsea have already made a head start on a piece of transfer business ahead of the summer transfer window in 2025.

It’s fair to acknowledge that the Blues have moved at 100 miles per hour in the transfer market under the current Chelsea owners.

Despite another busy period in the summer before the start of this season, Enzo Maresca has settled things down on the pitch in his role as the Chelsea manager. The team, who sit second in the Premier League table, now looks much more familiar and structured.

Chelsea are looking at goalkeepers in the transfer market. On top of that, it’s now been claimed that they’ve verbally agreed a deal to sign their attacker on a permanent basis next summer.

Chelsea verbally agree permanent Jadon Sancho transfer

Respected journalist Simon Phillips has claimed via Substack on Thursday that Chelsea have already agreed terms for Jadon Sancho to join them permanently next summer.

The 24-year-old winger signed for the Blues at the start of the campaign from Manchester United on a season-long loan deal. So far, it’s been a very productive loan spell for the English attacker.

Phillips has explained that Sancho’s move to Stamford Bridge will become permanent for around £25m as long as Chelsea finish higher than 15th in the Premier League, which is quite obviously looking a formality at this stage.

It is understood that contract terms for Sancho have already been agreed between the club and the player, at least provisionally and verbally.

Sancho admits Maresca convinced him to join Chelsea in the summer after showing such enthusiasm during a FaceTime conversation. Thankfully, he made the move to west London, where he’s getting his career back on track.

Jadon Sancho is a blue

There may have been a few sceptics about Sancho’s move to Chelsea because of his struggles at Man United, but he’s been recapturing the form he showed as a youngster in Borussia Dortmund colours.

In 11 appearances for the Blues so far this season, Sancho has scored two goals and created five assists. His greatest achievement so far is to force his way into the team’s strongest starting line-up because there’s a lot of competition within the squad.

Darren Bent claims Sancho is playing well at Chelsea as he thrives in a settled environment.
