Chelsea reportedly set ridiculously high asking price for midfielder who could leave

Chelsea have apparently set a stupidly high asking price for one of their midfielders who could leave the club even as soon as January.

The winter window is now right around the corner, and although Chelsea are not expected to be that busy in the winter, and any big business is likely to wait until the summer, there are some players who could look for the exit door next month as they become unhappy with a lack of playing time.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea set to make January approach for Premier League centre back!!

Midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has barely played at all other than some token Conference League minutes, so it’s expected that he will be pushing to leave next month and if not, will 100% leave in the summer unless of a dramatic change in circumstances and the situation.

Carney has been linked with many clubs including AC Milan in Serie A, which is perhaps where most of the noise is coming from now. But there will surely be other clubs looking to sign him as well, because he is a great young talent.

However, Chelsea will price any club out of a move if this ridiculous asking price is correct.

Chelsea set fee for Carney

Chukwuemeka in action for Chelsea

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Blues are demanding up to £45m for Chukwuemeka.

Speaking about the 21-year-old on a stream on Playback, Jacobs said: “I would keep an eye on Milan still, who are interested in a loan with an option. And if Chelsea are to permanently sell Carney Chukwuemeka, I’m still told they want 40, 45 million all in.”

They will NEVER get that fee for a player that they paid half of that price to sign and never even plays. The player will want to go, and we will need to sell him, so just set a realistic fee and move him on if you don’t want him at the club!
