Here is the xG from the W Ham game where a draw was probably a fair result, even if there is controversy about the penalty awarded to W Ham.

AFCB had the first good chance, with a sweeping move finding Semenyo who hit the outside of the post (rated 1 in 9). W Ham responded quickly with two close-range headers by Kilman, one rated 1 in 6, the other 1 in 4 and a curled effort from Bowen that hit the bar (1 in 9). The chances slowed down although W Ham were having low-rated attempts, but just before half-time, the ball found its way to Ouattara, whose shot back across Fabianski was well saved by the keeper’s leg (3 in 10). The xG at the break was AFCB 0.70 W Ham 0.80.
AFCB started the second half more brightly with a handful of minor chances, although 2 attempts both rated 1 in 10 fell in the 55th and 56th minute. Semenyo’s shot was blocked for a corner and from this, Zabarnyi headed wide. The momentum swung with W Ham having two quick chances with Fullkrug (1 in 8) and Bowen (1 in 12) shooting wide, The game quietened down, although a big chance fell to Billing in the 80th minute which was blocked (3 in 10). In the 86th minute came the ‘harsh’ (©most pundits) penalty. Not many had seen the flick off Adams’ arm as Kepa had saved well from Fullkrug and there had been a scramble to clear the ball, but VAR intervened, and after going to the monitor a penalty was awarded. Pacqueta put into in his right corner and W Ham were 1-up. Three minutes later we had equalised, Unal was brought down from goal approaching 30 yards out and took the responsibility. It was 1 in 16 chance that thudded into the top left corner. 1-1. The game still had chances, most from Bournemouth although Coufal had a 1 in 10 effort blocked. The final xG was AFCB 2.01 W Ham 2.06, with understat declaring AFCB to have the higher xG at 2.05 vs 1.82.

" readability="14">There was 1 change to the team who beat Ipswich, with Ouattara replacing the injured Tavernier. There was nothing overly remarkable in our average positions with the switching of Semenyo (24) and Ouattara (11) meaning the formation looks narrower than it actually was. The first subs were in the 68th minute, with Smith (15) and Semenyo (24) being replaced by Brooks (7) and Adams (12) with Cooks moving to right back to allow Adams to play central midfield. In the 80th minute, and still at 0-0, Unal (26) replaced Evanilson (9) and Billing (29) replaced Kluivert (19) both as straight swaps.

We had 29 attempts (2 big) noting that chances can be provided after saves, deflections or a defensive error and not created. This is the highest number of chances this season. We hit the target 9 times. W Ham had 16 attempts, one big (the penalty), and hit the target 3 times. Christie had 6 attempts, with Ouattara and Semenyo 5 each. The big chances are reported as falling to Ouattara and Semenyo (although I suspect they meant Billing).
