Your Palace FPL picks for the festive fixtures

In the space of just a few weeks covering Christmas and into the New Year, Gameweeks 17, 18, 19 and 20 will all take place, with the squad selection deadline for the first being **Saturday, 21 December at 11:00 GMT.**

Having four rounds in such close proximity could impact your Fantasy Premier League season. Here are some of our favourite Palace picks to bolster your side over the busy run - and potentially get you flying up the office mini-league table.

**Will Hughes (£4.9m)** - The Palace playmaker is something of an underrated quantity, selected by 0.1% of players. Yet as his excellent displays against Manchester City and Brighton have shown, he is a player currently at the top of his game.

Against defending champions City Hughes produced two assists, worth six points alone, with the midfielder's average form rating currently standing at 4.0.

GW17 sees Palace welcome another title contender to Selhurst Park in the form of Arsenal. Could Hughes again be pulling the strings in the middle of the park, landing FPL managers another solid points return?

**Ismaïla Sarr (£5.7m) -** No one else in a Palace shirt can match the FPL form of the Senegalese summer signing who was at the double during the memorable win over Brighton, scoring twice.

Sarr's current form average - calculated from the last month of action - sits at 7.2 points, with the winger having won 54 points in total over the course of the season.

That means only goalkeeper Dean Henderson has returned more FPL points in a Palace shirt in 2024/25.

Still surprisingly selected by just 0.5% of FPL managers, Sarr could prove a shrewd selection to bring into your team ahead of the visit of Arsenal, having produced another lively display against the same opponents in our Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat on Wednesday.

**Maxence Lacroix (£4.5m)** - Turning towards the defenders now, and any one of the back three against Brighton would be a solid recommendation based on that resolute defensive display on the south coast.

But Lacroix's price point offers real value to FPL managers, with the Frenchman costing just £4.5million. Over Palace's last three fixtures he has returned a respectable 17 points and looks to be getting better with every game.

In fact, only seven of his teammates have earned more points since the opening day. The defence will be tested against Arsenal and Bournemouth over the next two Gameweeks, but with Lacroix firmly in-form, he could be a shrewd selection for players looking to refresh their defensive options.

Will he make your squad for the forthcoming the festive fixtures?

Those are just three of our select picks for the upcoming trio of Gameweeks, however managers could also turn to the ever reliable Palace captain **Marc Guéhi (£4.5m)** or Frenchman **Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.2m)** who has chipped in with goals against Ipswich and Arsenal, in the Carabao Cup, over recent weeks. Could he strike again when the Gunners visit Selhurst on Saturday?

In any case, it’s a tricky decision for FPL managers to decide who to bring in and who to swap out, but there are plenty of Palace options to give some food for thought.
