PSG have joined the race to sign Arsenal and Liverpool target. The French giants are already working behind the scenes to make the deal happen. A January move can come into play due to the situation at player’s current club.
The star in question is French player Rayan Cherki who plays for Lyon. Cherki is 21 years old and can play in variety of positions. He has been regular first team player for Lyon since the past 5 years.
Cherki has so far scored 5 goals and picked 7 assists in 17 games this season. He has been in a superb form and Lyon are very happy with him. However, the French side could still have to part ways with him due to the current situation.
Lyon have struggled to maintain the financial books. If they don’t get the records right until the end of the season, they will be handed a relegation to Ligue 2. Hence, Lyon will like to sell some of their top stars in January in order to secure their place in French top flight league.
Cherki recently spoke about his future where he refused to rule any move away from Lyon. At that time, English clubs Arsenal and Liverpool were heavily linked with the player. Now, French champions have joined the Premier League clubs in the race.
PSG join Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Cherki
Journalist Santi Aouna has recently tweeted that PSG are amongst the clubs keen to sign the 21 year old. He added that both PSG and Liverpool are working behind the scenes in order to get the deal done in winter window.

We may see more clubs joining the race due to the Lyon’s struggles. All clubs will hope to take advantage of the situation and Cherki seems like a very good addition to any club. He can be a good asset for both Arsenal and Liverpool who are keen to improve their attack. The 21 year old may get limited chances at PSG due to their squad depth.
