New Everton stadium completes testing ahead of handover

Goodison’s replacement is clearly impressing many around the country with Everton’s new stadium suggested to host an England game next year.

And there has now been a significant step taken towards being able to do that with the Toffees looking to move in over the summer.

This feels like a significant step forward with Everton now being handed a number of months to complete their final steps ahead of the move.

Jamie Carragher is really excited about Everton’s new stadium and what it could bring to the city.

The takeover saga has now ended, and it looks as if The Friedkin Group will be taking on a stadium that is progressing on time.

New Everton stadium now requires test events

This update does not mean the new stadium is now ready for Everton to move straight into; not that that was the plan anyway.

A big step was taken recently when Everton laid the pitch at the new stadium, which now has over a month to develop.

There are still some significant steps to be taken towards allowing a full attendance into the state-of-the-art ground.

Everton will now need to host some test events which will grow in the number of supporters able to attend.

Tottenham Hotspur did similar as their first-ever game inside their new stadium was played by their U18s side in front of a limited capacity.

With this in mind, there are going to be some fortunate Everton fans who get to see the stadium in the flesh prior to its official opening.
