Nottingham Forest will make late fitness checks on Murillo and Ryan Yates ahead of this weekend’s trip to face Brentford.
The Reds go into Saturday’s clash at the Gtech Community Stadium (3pm kick-off) on the back of consecutive wins. They toppled Aston Villa 2-1 at the City Ground last time out courtesy of a dramatic late comeback with goals from Nikola Milenkovic and Anthony Elanga.
Defender Murillo and midfielder Yates had already been substituted by the time the goals went in. The latter appeared to roll his ankle in the first half and received treatment on the pitch but was able to continue until the 68th minute; his teammate departed at the same time after suffering a knock.
“We have a lot of things to assess and problems we had in the previous game,” head coach Nuno Espirito Santo said ahead of facing the Bees. “Someone was speaking about our (positive) record in terms of injuries; he speaks and suddenly we have problems.
“You never know. After a game you have to assess a lot of things. We still have tomorrow to prepare and assess the players, and then go to London.”

Forest are still without long-term absentees Danilo (broken ankle) and Ibrahim Sangare (hamstring). However, the duo are making positive progress in their recoveries.
Brazilian Danilo first took part in a training session before the win over Ipswich Town last month and has continued to work with the group. Sangare is not quite as far along in his rehabilitation as his fellow midfielder.
“Danilo is closer and is working with us. Ibrahim didn’t join the group yet. We need them as soon as possible,” Nuno added.
