Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé was quick to reveal his appreciation for the efforts of two of his teammates, on the back of the club’s latest outing.
Real, of course, are fresh off adding to the club’s burgeoning trophy cabinet once more on Wednesday evening.
After making the trip to Qatar for the finale of the Intercontinental Cup, Carlo Ancelott’s troops ultimately made short work of Mexican giants Pachuca, emerging on the right side of a 3-0 result.
The aforementioned Mbappé, for his part, opened the scoring in Lusail, before Rodrygo and Vinícius Jr. added some gloss to the scoreline during the 2nd-half.
His goal, when it did come, proved one of the more straightforward of Mbappé’s career to date, with the Frenchman having been left with the simple task of slotting home from close range.
Drawn on as much post-match, Mbappé therefore made use of the opportunity to make clear his appreciation for the goal’s two chief creators, Vinícius, and Jude Bellingham:
“My goal? It wasn’t the most difficult of my career. But the actions of Vini and Jude were really good.”
