One of Chelsea’s harshest critics over the last couple of seasons has actually been a player who spent more than a decade at the club.
John Obi Mikel is clearly a massive fan of the Blues, and wants the best for a side who have undergone mass change in recent times.
Mikel has notably been critical of Nicolas Jackson, with it clear that he was an advocate for the club signing Victor Osimhen over the summer.

John Obi Mikel says Chelsea aware of his criticism of players
Jackson responded on social media to Mikel’s criticism by asking him to back the players rather than try to tear them down, and has gone on to so far have a brilliant season at Stamford Bridge.
The likes of Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile have not escaped criticism from a player who was at the club when standards were at their highest.
The former midfielder has always insisted that his criticism of players or even how the club is being run as a whole is designed to be constructive.
He said on the Obi One podcast: “It’s so nice to see that I have this relationship now with the club. I’ve always said my intention of my constructive criticism I give the players or the club is always for the better. It’s always for the success of the football club.
“And I’m very happy that they acknowledge that. The club knows and acknowledge that it’s coming from a good place.”
