£27m West Ham Nightmare: Striker Eyes Germany Return After ‘Awful’ Transfer

West Ham have surely decided that the time is up for £27 million striker Niclas Fullkrug and it would appear the feeling is mutual.

Claret & Hugh were exclusively informed on Tuesday that the Hammers are on the lookout for a top-class centre-forward and are looking to generate funds for the purchase.

Fullkrug has been homesick and seeking a return to Germany since joining West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

However, it now appears the forward is feeling even worse about the move to England, describing his time here as “absolutely awful.”

The big German striker has since explained that he viewed his transfer to West Ham as “very risky,” and while he was aware there would be no European football this season, he now believes there won’t be any in the immediate future either.

It’s difficult to argue with his prediction of no continental competition next year, given how far the Hammers have slipped behind in the Premier League.

However, considering how little Fullkrug has contributed to West Ham’s campaign and the money spent on him, I find it more than a bit cheeky that he is being portrayed as the victim in this situation.
