Ruud van Nistelrooy 'lines up first three Leicester transfers' as reunion targeted

Leicester new boss Ruud van Nistelrooy is reportedly eyeing up three January transfers, with the possibility of former Foxes star man Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall returning to the King Power Stadium.

The Mirror revealed that Chelsea are open to loaning out the midfielder, who they snapped up from the Foxes for a hefty £30million just six months ago.

It's understood that Leicester have thrown their hat in the ring to bring him back to the club, but Caughtoffside have tipped Arsenal as the frontrunners to secure a deal with the Blues for the 26-year-old talent.

Van Nistelrooy is also reportedly eyeing Newcastle United's Miguel Almiron. The Sun suggests that the Dutch legend wants the Paraguayan striker on a temporary deal, having lost his place at St James' Park to Jacob Murphy.

However, Eddie Howe is digging his heels in, insisting: "I'd love to keep the squad together. I don't want to lose anybody, we don't have the biggest squad already so losing players would be very difficult."

The Foxes' transfer ambitions don't end there, as they're also linked with a move for Real Valladolid's young defender Juma Bah, according to Estadio Deportivo.

With the January window looming, it appears that Van Nistelrooy has funds at his disposal for reinforcements, having previously confirmed during his interview process that financial assurances were given for potential transfer strategy.

"We had a conversation about that (transfers) in London before I signed," he disclosed. "We spoke about that, the winter window, and also towards the summer.

"We also said that at the same time there's no rush to do things. I agree with that. The squad is now getting opportunities to prove themselves over this month, which is a great month to work together and play together.

"There's time after that to make a good assessment, when I've seen the players with my own eyes, and we can make decisions in January."
