The Give Me Sport journalist reported on 19 December that the exact ownership of the American group is 98.8 per cent.

With the announcement made, the purchase includes a £200million cash injection and the restructuring of debts.

Jacobs wrote on X: “Exact percentage TFG owns is 98.8%. Cost of purchase is complicated but the club valuation is believed to be in the region of £500m. The purchase has included a £200m cash injection, made during due diligence, and the inheritance (and restructuring) of various debts.”

Everton fans have every reason to celebrate the takeover news

The arrival of new owners will bring financial stability, with a commitment to fund the completion of the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, which promises to generate significant revenue.

Their experience with AS Roma in Serie A also suggests a strategic approach to club management, focusing on both immediate stability and long-term success.

The Friedkin Group has vowed thoughtful and strategic investment, aiming to restore the Toffees rightful place in the Premier League.

Moreover, their takeover ends the tumultuous era under Moshiri, marked by financial mismanagement and relegation battles.

The new ownership offers a fresh start, promising to address the club’s debt and potentially enhance the squad through careful management in upcoming transfer windows.

With the group’s deep pockets and a proven track record in football, fans can look forward to a brighter future, possibly with new managerial and executive appointments that align with the club’s storied legacy.
