American billionaire Dan Friedkin has purchased Everton FC.
It is the beginning of a new era for Everton FC who have been taken over by American consortium The Friedkin Group (TFG).
The deal was sealed on Thursday 19 December after TFG CEO Dan Friedkin agreed to a deal to purchase Farhad Moshiri's 94.1% stake in the club.
The Premier League’s statement confirmed TFG had purchased a 98.8% stake in Everton.

Dan Friedkin is a businessman and film producer from America who has an estimated net worth of $6.1billion (£4.9billion).
The 59-year-old accumulated the majority of his fortune from his ownership of the car dealership company Gulf States Toyota, which he inherited at 35 years old from his father as well as TFG.
Since 2013, the father-of-four has been chairman of Auberge Resorts Collection, a range of luxury resorts, hotels and vacation properties located across North America, Costa Rica, Europe, the Caribbean, and Fiji.
The billionaire has had a colourful career, including working as a stuntman in the award-winning film Dunkirk in 2017.
He piloted a Spitfire fighter plane in the closing scene of the film, which he was given a Taurus Stunt Award for Best Speciality Stunt.
In 2018, Friedkin and independent American film production company 30WEST, acquired majority ownership in Neon, a theatrical marketing and distribution company that distributed the Academy Award-winning film Parasite.
The billionaire's wealth grew even larger after buying the Italian football club Roma in 2020 for an estimated worth $700million (£591million).
Friedkin invested money into Roma's playing squad and has overseen the club winning the 2021-22 UEFA Europa Conference League.
