After Newcastle United beat Leicester City 4-0 at St James' Park, new Leicester boss Ruud Van Nistelrooy was spotted having a word with Miguel Almiron.

The Dutchman made a beeline for unused substitute Miguel Almiron at the full-time whistle last weekend sparking rumours of a possible exit route for the Paraguayan.

Newcastle have been trying to offload the 30-year-old for a year now and have come close to finding him a new club on a couple of occasions, only for things to fall through.

The Sun are now reporting that an exit could be on the cards in January with three Premier League clubs eyeing a loan move for the winger.

Miggy could remain in the Premier League after leaving Newcastle

Miguel Almiron won't be short of offers in January according to reports

Ideally, Newcastle would prefer to offload Almiron permanently and recoup some money in the process, but that is proving more and more difficult and the Magpies may just have to settle for clearing him off the wage bill for six months and try again to sell him in the summer.

Leicester are one of the clubs reportedly interested in Miggy along with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace. There's also said to be interest from Marseille and Stuttgart, so the winger has options.

PSR has made it imperative that Newcastle move players out of the club as soon as possible, and even getting players off the wage bill without bringing in any actual transfer fee will be a help at this point.

A loan with an obligation to buy could be the way to go for Almiron

A loan with an option/obligation to buy would be ideal in January, as then the club wouldn't have to worry about what to do when Almiron returns to the club.

Newcastle are moving closer to bringing in a replacement for Miggy according to reports emerging today, so it would make sense that they had the space cleared for the newbie's arrival.

If it wasn't for everything they did to us in the summer regarding Marc Guehi, we'd almost feel sorry for Crystal Palace losing Wilfred Zaha and Michael Olise and potentially replacing them with Miguel Almiron. Almost.
