Farhad Moshiri has an Everton "dream" he wants to see up close

Farhad Moshiri is hoping to return to Everton “in the near future” now that The Friedkin Group takeover is finally complete, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Joe Thomas reported for the news outlet’s online edition [19 December] that Moshiri wants to attend an Everton game, having missed the draw with Arsenal last weekend.
Everton officially entered new hands on Thursday (19 December) as the Friedkins took control at Goodison after eight years under Moshiri, with many ex-players quick to react to the news.
Moshiri’s comments after the takeover was confirmed will not go down well, with the overwhelming majority of supporters now ready to usher in a new era, but the ex-owner still wants to see a “dream” of his play out up close.
Thomas wrote: “He was not present at Arsenal on Saturday, the final game of his eight year tenure, but hopes to attend an Everton match in the near future and would like to witness Everton live out his dream of playing in their dockside home next season.”

Six months or so out from the move to a new stadium comes an equally seismic development. It has been a long time coming, but Everton finally have new owners in place.
After the whole 777 farce, in which more and more concerns were raised by the week, Everton are hopefully under a safe pair of hands in the Friedkins.
That is not to say they don’t come without their concerns on the basis of what has happened in their other portfolio of clubs.
But they at least have a well-established footing in the football industry and appear to be pretty hands-on in that regard. What that means for manager Sean Dyche is another question.
As for Moshiri wanting to attend a game at the new stadium when it opens, supporters will not begrudge him that wish.

It must be remembered that he did pump a lot of money into the Toffees and made sure they did not go under, even when things look extremely bleak.
Moshiri is not part of this new era at Everton, but if he wants to watch on from the stands while others take control, just like any other supporter, then that’s fair enough.
