Sporting CP talisman Viktor Gyokeres.
Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Viktor Gyokeres.
Viktor Gyokeres has a preference over his next move amid Manchester United links, according to reports.
The Sporting CP striker has been a hit in Liga Portugal after continuing his free-scoring exploits following a successful season with Coventry City in 2022-23, which ultimately ended in playoff disappointment. United head coach Ruben Amorim brought the Sweden international to Portugal nurturing the forward to become one of the most in-demand prospects in world football.
There is intense speculation regarding a move to Old Trafford for Gyokeres but the 26-year-old has previously been the topic of intense links with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer.

Reports suggest that the Sporting forward has a release clause worth £83million but according to The Athletic, the club are likely to do business for around €70m (£57.9m). Following their time working at the Estádio José Alvalade, Gyokeres and the United head coach have a close relationship, however, it has been suggested that it doesn't guarantee Old Trafford will be his desired destination.
The outlet adds that he has a preference on where he would like to sign, however, there are factors that need to fall into place but the situation remains open with Gyokeres' representatives considering options from across Europe and the Premier League.
"It's very sad that he's leaving, but of course we understand his decision," he said after Amorim left for the Theatre of dreams.
"He has of course meant a lot [to me] considering that he gave me that chance and that he made me develop so much. Now we look forward to working with the new coach."
