Manchester United are back in Premier League action this weekend

The Red Devils will be in confident mood right now following their 2-1 win away at Manchester City last time out. Here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours coming out of the club...

Attacker update

United attacker Marcus Rashford is ‘attracting’ interest from Atletico Madrid ahead of January, according to TBR Football. The report adds that fellow Premier League sides Chelsea and Arsenal have ‘no interest’ in signing the player this winter. Rashford, who is 27-years-old, has been on the books at Old Trafford for his whole career to date. He rose up through the academy ranks of his current club and has made 426 appearances in all competitions, scoring 138 goals, seven of which have come this season.

The Wythenshawe-born man has recently said: “For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me."

He added: "It's disheartening to be left out of a derby but it's happened, we won the game so let's move on. It's disappointing but I'm also someone as I've got older I can deal with setbacks. What am I going to do about it? Sit there and cry about it. Or do my best the next time I'm available."

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim has said: “It is important to say it was not a disciplinary thing," the manager confirmed, when asked why Rashford was missing. For me what is important is the performance in training, the performance in game, the way you dress, the way you eat, the way you engage with team-mates and push team-mates."

Atletico Madrid could offer him a change of scene and they are currently sat in 2nd place in the La Liga table. They are only behind the league leaders Barcelona on goal difference and they have a game in-hand on their rivals.

Midfielder eyed

United are ‘watching’ Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to CaughtOffside. Amorim’s side are eyeing a potential swoop for the player along with the likes of Arsenal, Leicester City, Fulham, Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford.

He moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer from Leicester but his move hasn’t gone to plan. He said at the time: "It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player. This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here. I'm really excited to get going and can't wait to show everybody what I can do."
