With **West Ham** striker Niclas Füllkrug reportedly describing his [transfer](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-transfer-news/) to England as ‘awful’ and ‘risky’, Claret & Hugh decided to go straight to the top at The [London Stadium](https://www.claretandhugh.info/london-stadium-bio/) to ask if there was still a chance the German forward could leave next month.
It has been rumoured for some time that the £27m signing from Dortmund was homesick and keen to return home, and his latest interview has only fuelled speculation.
However, many had assumed the injury to Michail Antonio would mean that Füllkrug would have to stay put until at least next season, but that does not appear to be the case.
When we asked our top West Ham source if Füllkrug would be sold in the January transfer window, we were told: “Who knows? Maybe there’s a tiny chance.”
It’s not the first time updates on the big German striker have been delivered with uncertainty, and the club does seem to be slightly in the dark about the striker’s intentions.
What remains crystal clear is the Hammers’ intention to bring in another striker as soon as possible, and it is looking increasingly likely that the club will be active in the January transfer market. Whether that will involve Füllkrug remains unclear, although it seems the forward knows more than the club does at present
