Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for tonight’s Carabao Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur on the road.
The Red Devils registered a stunning 2-1 comeback win over Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend and should go into the League Cup tie with renewed confidence.
Ahead of the game, Amorim has made five changes from the dramatic late victory at the Etihad Stadium.
Altay Bayindir has got the nod over Andre Onana in goal. There are also two changes in the backline.
Matthijs de Ligt has not made the matchday squad while Harry Maguire has dropped to the bench.
The duo have been replaced with Leny Yoro and Victor Lindelof. They will partner Lisandro Martinez.
Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot continue from the right and left wing-back positions tonight.
In central midfield, there is a surprise start for Christian Eriksen alongside Manuel Ugarte. Mason Mount makes way after his injury in the Manchester derby.
Bruno Fernandes and Antony will operate as the attacking midfielders with Rasmus Hojlund up front.
United suffered a 3-0 loss to Tottenham in the Premier League at Old Trafford earlier this season.
The game was largely dictated by an unfortunate red card for Bruno Fernandes before the break.
Fernandes’ sending-off was rescinded on appeal. United will be aiming to avenge that result.
United could be drawn alongside Arsenal, Liverpool or Newcastle United tonight if they beat Spurs.
Confirmed Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Tottenham: Bayindir; Yoro, Lindelof, Martinez; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Eriksen, Dalot; Antony, Fernandes; Hojlund.
