The Friedkin Group will be increasing their stake in Everton to 99.5 per cent, according to Kieran Maguire.

The finance expert claims that the American group will be injecting more money into the club to increase their current holding of 98.8 per cent.

There will also be a consolidation of any third-party borrowings as they appear to be focused on doing things entirely their way with the takeover now sealed.

Maguire wrote on X: “I understand that TFG will be injecting further equity into Everton shortly that will take their investment from 98.8% to 99.5%. Also expect to see consolidation of any third party borrowings as they get their ducks in a row.”

Farhad Moshiri’s mistakes cannot be repeated at Everton

The club has a storied history and a large and passionate fanbase that was neglected by Moshiri.

For years, the supporters were not given their due respect and the club’s finances also were a mess.

Appointing Marcel Brands was another huge mistake and then listening to his friends for recommendations only made things worse.

Money was spent but it was done so in such a horrible manner and on the wrong players which only saw the debt mounting and the club failing to comply with the Premier League’s financial rules.

That’s an important thing that must be considered by the new owners to ensure such mistakes do not occur again.

Hopefully, the new owners have a seamless system and such issues do not occur at any time during the future.
