Anthony Ralston has delivered a direct response to mounting links claiming Kieran Tierney could be on his way back to Celtic to complete a sensational return.
Earlier today, news that Celtic are exploring landing Tierney on a pre-contract or loan deal came to light, sending supporters into a frenzy.
He is willing to take a wage cut to seal the move, but it remains to be seen how far along Brendan Rodgers will get in landing one of his former star pupils.

Last night, Tierney made his first Arsenal appearance in 19 months against Crystal Palace, helping the Gunners progress to the semi-final of the EFL Cup in a 3-2 victory.
Now, Anthony Ralston has reacted to reports that Tierney could be on his way back to Parkhead after five years south of the border.
Anthony Ralston chimes in on Kieran Tierney Celtic speculation
Speaking ahead of Celtic’s trip to Dundee United, Ralston was diplomatic on whether Tierney would return, but made clear he would be a very welcome addition at Parkhead.
He stated: “I’m not overly aware of the situation, but in terms of what you’re asking about him himself. I know him very well in terms of him being here before and in the Scotland set-up over the past few years and he’s a great guy and obviously a terrific player.
“As I say, I don’t know much about the situations or anything like that, but to answer your question, he’s a top player and whatever he decides to do it’ll work out.

Later, he added: “For sure, you see the quality that we’ve got inside the squad is amazing. Over all the positions, everyone who comes in knows their job and does it to the best of their ability, so I’m sure anybody else coming into the fold will understand that very quickly and also be able to do that.
Finally, he said: “Of course (he has improved), going on to Arsenal and being in with him with Scotland, you still see the quality of player he is. That’s clear, even before when we were at Celtic together as well, that’s well aware and like I say, regardless of his own situation, it’ll work out for him.”
Celtic and Kieran Tierney moving closer to crossing paths
The later Tierney’s career spans, the more likely it is that he will end up fulfilling the dream of pulling on a Celtic shirt once again.
However, he is only 27, so he does still have plenty years ahead of him should a move come to fruition in the near future.
The main concern on the other side of the fence is his injury record, which has saw the Scotland international miss several chunks of the last few seasons gone by. Ultimately, the manager appears willing to make the plunge, so that is all that matters for now.
