‘At our best, we are unstoppable’… Barcelona forward remains fully confident in his team ahead of Atletico Madrid clash

As the season continues to progress, new hurdles and obstacles reveal themselves to FC Barcelona. Despite a promising start to the season, one which saw the Catalan giants crush several top teams, things are looking much worse now. A lack of consistency and clear signs of struggle continue to let Barcelona down.

Ultimately, however, this is the club’s own doing and their inability to capitalize on their previous advantage. A significant lead at the top of the La Liga table exists no more, and Barcelona are simply a fragile league leader waiting to be toppled by all those who attempt to climb for the crown.

Real Madrid will be looking for that win in their game in hand which would guarantee their ascent to the top of the table. Atletico Madrid, however, will be looking to directly face off against Barcelona next in La Liga as the two Spanish sides are set to clash in a crucial encounter.

However, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, a certain Barcelona forward remains unfazed. Ferran Torres, formerly from Manchester City, seems to believe that his team has what it takes to turn things around no matter the pressure:

“We are players accustomed to pressure. We also know that if results don’t go our way, there will be some nervousness. But we remain calm and confident.”

Moreover, for Torres at least, the season is a long race and it is still one that Barcelona can show their best version in yet again. After all, the Spaniard believes the team can be unstoppable when they are at their best level:

“A season is like a marathon, a long-distance race. During the race, there may be moments when we’re not at our best, but we need to stay calm because we are just as good as when we were on a very positive streak. From there, we must work to find our top form, and when we’re at our best, we are unstoppable.”
