Arsenal are said to be interested in a move for Spartak Moscow striker Manfred Ugalde ahead of the January transfer window. According to The Boot Room, the Gunners, along with Chelsea and Manchester City, are showing an interest.
The 22-year-old has netted 15 goals in 17 league starts for the Russian club, and the season does not resume until March, It’s reported that Ugalde has a release clause worth £25million, which could provide Arsenal with an affordable solution for their apparent striker problem.
Musiala latest
Arsenal have long been credited with an interest in Bayern Munich superstar Jamal Masiala, but they face a big obstacle. According to Graeme Bailey via The Boot Room, despite interest from just about all of the Premier League big boys, Musiala has a transfer preference that does not involve the Premier League.
It’s reported that Musiala sees his future in Spain, with Barcelona and Real Madrid both reportedly monitoring the situation. The creative German has a contract for 18 months but Bayern have struggled to reach an extension agreement over recent months, and not for lack of trying. A crucial six months lie ahead for Bayern in their bid to keep him.
