Manchester United players react after conceding against Tottenham
Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has insisted that second-choice goalkeeper Altay Bayindir should have done better for Tottenham Hotspur's opener in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
After a promising start, United fell behind after a long-range effort from Pedro Porro was parried by Bayindir following a slight deflection. Dominic Solanke was following in for the hosts and he fired home off the inside of the post.
While Solanke took the goal well, Neville was keen to point out Bayindir's effort which cost the Reds the lead. "We know Porro can hit them from distance but I have to have another look at it from a ‘keeper’s perspective," he explained on Sky Sports' co-commentary.

"They recycle it to Porro who has a crack… and the goalkeeper, he has to push that wide. He can’t push that back into the danger zone.
"You could argue that the Manchester United defenders are sleeping, they have not gone back in, but as a 'keeper, you have got to make sure that goes even out for a corner." For the most part, United played well but the scoreline left a sour taste in the mouth.
United suffered more disappointment on the stroke of half-time as they suffered yet another injury blow. Centre-back Victor Lindelof went down off the ball appearing to have suffered a muscular issue.
Not wanting to take any risks, Ruben Amorim chose to replace Lindelof immediately with Jonny Evans replacing him. Lisandro Martinez was the next player to make a poor mistake as his weak clearance was fired home by Dejan Kulusevski for 2-0 just moments after the restart.
It was three less than ten minutes later when Solanke cut inside from the left and fired it past Bayindir.
