Tottenham have been linked to a PSG defender and a winger from Spanish side Real Valladolid.
Tottenham Hotspur go into the January transfer window in desperate need of better squad depth in defensive areas. And in a bid to bolster their ranks at the back, they have reportedly cast their eye towards Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar.
The defender was previously linked over a move to the Premier League back when he played for Inter Milan in 2022, with Chelsea said to be keen on him at the time. The Slovakian international has been in the French capital since July 2023, when he joined from Inter Milan on a free transfer. Skriniar has since made 37 appearances for PSG.
According to Gazetta Dello Sport, Spurs are among several clubs who have been linked to the 29-year-old alongside Inter and Napoli from the Serie A. The report suggests that Spurs see the defender as a rotation piece to help with their injury struggles.
However, Skriniar may have to take a pay-cut in order to leave PSG where he hasn’t received the promised game time since joining. He is currently on a five-year contract that he signed in 2023 worth £8.2m. It is unlikely that Spurs will match his wages at PSG, but they could promise the 29-year-old more game time.
Spurs, Liverpool and Manchester City keen on La Liga winger
Tottenham are also reportedly considering a move for Real Valladolid winger Raul Moro according to SPORT. Moro can play on either wing, but also as a striker, a useful swiss-army knife for Postecoglou in attack. The 22-year-old is an exciting La Liga prospect who has made 16 appearances for Valladolid this season in the league. He has scored three goals with one assist and has an estimated transfer price of between £3.3m and £8.2m.
The report suggests that both Liverpool and Manchester City are also keen on the Spanish winger, who is under contract until summer 2028 at Valladolid. He is yet to make an appearance for the stacked Spanish national team, but could improve his prospects by making a move to the Premier League. However, Spurs may have to tempt him away from the exciting prospects of playing for City or Liverpool.
