All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Premier League.

Another big weekend of Premier League football approaching, signalling the start of a busy festive period, with games coming thick and fast from this point on. It’s already a busy week for three of London’s top-flight clubs, with Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Tottenham having all been in Carabao Cup action this week.

This will be the final round of fixtures before Christmas, and while plenty can change, a club’s position at Christmas is often a good indicator of where they might end up. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the top flight.

Palace to get stadium upgrade

Crystal Palace will finally get their stadium upgrade, with Selhurst Park ageing quickly at this point. Palace will get an upgrade to the main stand, with a £150million remodel now set to begin after the end of this season.

Inside Croydon report a Palace statement reading: “Initial enabling works have begun towards the construction, including some minor adjustments to the existing main stand, and preparations for the expected site footprint. As is common practice for a development of this magnitude, the club have identified the potential for a small range of ‘minor material amendments’ to the original stadium design plans, and are in communication with local residents and Croydon Council to obtain permission for these.”

Ferguson claim

Celtic have been told they have an outside chance of landing Brighton striker Evan Ferguson amid links with Fulham and others. “If I look at the quality of the Scottish Premiership, I don’t think a transfer to the SPFL would be right for Evan Ferguson," said pundit Don Goodman to Coin Poker. "However, he’s an Irish lad who has previously admitted Celtic are his favourite Scottish team. That could be a little carrot which makes him consider a move to Parkhead.

“European football would also be an attraction but would it be enough for him after being linked with some of the best clubs in the world previously? While the European nights are brilliant, the rest of it, aside from Rangers and maybe Aberdeen, is easy. I say that with the utmost respect and as someone who played in the Scottish Premiership. I’m not criticising it, those are just levels when compared to the Premier League. It would be huge if Celtic could somehow persuade him to sign for them."

Yildiz plays down transfer

Juventus star Kenan Yildiz has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks, but it seems the Türkiye international is not going to entertain the idea of a move.

“I’m happy at Juventus! Next year? I see myself here to fight for more titles as a Juventus player,” he told Tuttosport. “In five years? On the pitch, giving everything to win in this shirt. I am happy at Juventus.”
