Newcastle United have lowered their asking price for Miguel Almiron.
The 30-year-old looks on course to leave Newcastle United in 2025, possibly as early as January.
It has been reported that Miguel Almiron is keen to leave, as the Magpies aim to solve their PSR concerns.
Geordie Boot Boys have been told that Newcastle must sell to buy in January, with Almiron a leading candidate to depart St James’ Park.
There has been new speculation over Almiron leaving Newcastle on loan, with Premier League clubs Leicester City, Wolves and Crystal Palace linked with the Paraguayan.
However, a move overseas would be much more financially appealing.

How much Newcastle want for Miguel Almiron
During the summer transfer window, Almiron almost joined Charlotte FC. He was heading back to the MLS, only for the deal to collapse.
Charlotte FC could only afford to meet one of Newcastle’s asking price and Almiron’s wage demands, which resulted in him staying put.

But now the American side are in the mix again, with Give Me Sport providing an update on the winger’s Toon future.
According to Give Me Sport, Charlotte FC are still in talks to sign Almiron from Newcastle United, while the player would prefer to return to the MLS over a potential move to Saudi Arabia.
Give Me Sport add that a deal worth £8million in total could be enough to sign Almiron in January.
How much Newcastle previously wanted for Miguel Almiron
Newcastle’s asking price for Almiron has been reduced, as he closes in on six years since arriving at St James’ Park from Atlanta United for £21million. At the time, he became Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever.
Over the past 12 months, the attacker’s asking price has gone down and down.
At the start of the year when the Magpies were in talks with Saudi side Al-Shabab over a deal, Newcastle wanted £30million for Almiron.
When the summer arrived and speculation over a move to Saudi Arabia recommenced, Newcastle wanted £20million for Almiron.
Then came the failed move to Charlotte FC, when Newcastle wanted around £15million for Almiron.
His asking price is getting lower and lower, which is frustrating from a PSR perspective. However, the reduction in price should hopefully result in a deal being done in January.
