Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli.
The 23-year-old central midfielder has been linked with a move away from Italy and multiple Premier League clubs are keen on him.
According to IlBianconero, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham have made enquiries for the midfielder. However, he would prefer to join a more prestigious team like Tottenham. The North London club have been long-term admirers of the player.
Fagioli would cost around €20-25 million and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to pay up for him. They need more depth and quality in the central midfield and the Italian would be the ideal acquisition. He is a complete midfielder who is capable of operating in a more advanced role as well as in a more defensive role. He will add creativity, control and defensive cover to the side.

The player is still only 23 and he will improve with coaching and experience. Regular football in England could accelerate his development. He is not a key player for Juventus and it would make sense for him to move on and join Spurs. They could provide him with ample first-team action and nurture him into a reliable performer in the Premier League.
The reported asking price seems quite reasonable for a player of his ability and he could justify the investment in the long term. The fact that he would prefer to join Tottenham over West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham will certainly serve as encouragement for the North London club. It remains to be seen whether they follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the player in the coming weeks.
Tottenham have an exciting squad and an ambitious project. They are likely to be an attractive destination for the midfielder.
