Big-hearted Kieran Tierney will leave Arsenal in the near future but the adored star remains committed to the cause in north London.
The 27-year-old will exit the Emirates next summer at the latest after Mikel Arteta decided against triggering an extension but Tierney wants to get his goodbyes in. The marauding left-back was brilliant against Crystal Palace – his first Gunners appearance in 18 months – and he followed that up by paying a visit to the Royal Free hospital.
Tierney has been lauded for his community work during his time with Arsenal and he appears on the brink of saying goodbye to the club he joined five-and-a-half years ago. Former club Celtic want him back and a loan deal before a permanent transfer in the summer is on the cards. The Scotland international is wanted by Brendan Rodgers – the boss who nurtured him during their wildly-successful stint together in the Irishman's first reign.
And while Tierney's time with Arsenal is coming to an end, it doesn't mean Gooners in the stands want to see him go. Tierney has been heralded as an "absolute baller" after X user AFC comps uploaded a video of his best moments against the Eagles. A large swathe of the Arsenal public don't want Tierney to go – citing his devilment down the left is a trait which is missing from Arteta's team.
