Maresca confirms that the talented midfielder can leave in January

Enzo Maresca recently spoke about the future of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. From his comments, it seems like the 26 year old may leave Chelsea in January. It has only been six months since the talented midfielder moved to West London.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall joined Chelsea this summer from Leicester City. He had a very good last season with foxes. The Englishman was key to their success and gaining promotion back to Premier League.

Enzo Maresca was made Chelsea coach after his superb management. He was paired with Dewsbury-Hall to achieve the same winning formula at Chelsea. But, the deal has not worked out and the 26 year old is struggling for game time.

Enzo Maresca provided update about Dewsbury-Hall

Maresca was asked about the future of Dewsbury-Hall at Chelsea. Fabrizio Romano has tweeted the response of Chelsea boss. The Italian said that he is unfortunate to say that the player will not be for sale.

🚨🔵 Maresca: “Unfortunately I cannot say that Dewsbury-Hall is not for sale”.

“Not only about Kiernan, but the whole squad. When the window is open, anything can happen”. pic.twitter.com/PYG08PxtJA

This suggests that the 26 year old can move away from the Blues after just 6 months. Dewsbury-Hall is yet to start any Premier League game this season. He is too good to sit on bench regularly and hence this may force him to join another club.

Chelsea will demand all £30 million that they spent this summer to sign Dewsbury-Hall. This may prove hard for interested clubs in mid-season but the Blues are also said to be ready to let the midfielder leave on loan.

As of now, Leicester City are keen to re-sign the player. They have failed to replace him and it is costing them this season. In addition to foxes, Arsenal have recently shown interest in the 26 year old.

Lastly, Maresca said that anything can happen in the market. Hence, it means Dewsbury-Hall is not the only one on the chopping list. Recently, there have been reports that the Blues are ready to sell Disasi and Chukwuemeka.
