Hello and welcome to the ECHO's live coverage of Everton as the club enters Day Two of life under new owners The Friedkin Group.

The dust is yet to settle on what was a momentous occasion as Farhad Moshiri's eight years as Blues owner formally ended on Thursday. The news, understandably, makes the front page of today's Liverpool ECHO.

And coverage will continue throughout the day as we bring the latest on the takeover developments and the reaction to it, as well as Sean Dyche's press conference to preview the clash with Chelsea in the Premier League.

As much as Everton will be desperate for points on Sunday, the presser will likely be dominated by questions about the takeover.

Dyche will surely be asked about what impact that will have on the team, although the deal also adds intrigue to his own situation. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season along with a number of first-team players. Friedkin Group chiefs, including new Everton executive chairman Marc Watts, will meet Dyche, his players and staff at Finch Farm today.

The first priority for the manager will be steering Everton clear of trouble though and they go into this weekend just three points clear of the relegation zone. That's after four points from their last two games too.

Chelsea will be a big test in the first game of the new era. After years of lavish of spending, they have finally found their groove under Enzo Maresca and can move temporarily top of the Premier League with a win.

Joe Thomas will be in attendance at Finch Farm to speak to the Everton manager, with the press conference set to start at 1:30 p.m..
