For the second month in a row, Steph Catley and Alessia Russo have been nominated for the Barclays Player of the Month award.

In our two Women's Super League fixtures in December, Steph Catley recorded two clean sheets as a member of our unwavering backline. Paired up at centre-back with Leah Williamson, our Australian defender's recovery pace, anticipation and dedication helped continue our Gunners' unbeaten run.
Alessia Russo, meanwhile, has three WSL goals to her name this month. She bagged a brace in our confident 4-0 victory over Aston Villa and was the matchwinner for our 1-0 win away to Liverpool. Our number 23 has now scored in five straight league games for the first time in her career.
Our duo are up against West Ham's Viviane Asseyi, Tottenham's Beth England, Everton's Sara Holmgaard and Manchester United's Dominique Janssen.
