Farhad Moshiri’s legacy will live on at Everton through the brand-new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, Henry Winter has said.

The 69-year-old British-Iranian billionaire is no longer the leading figure at Goodison Park after The Friedkin Group’s takeover was confirmed on Thursday 19 December [Official website].

Moshiri spent eight years on Merseyside, and while he was an extremely controversial figure amongst the fanbase during that time, Winter believes he will still leave a legacy.

Writing via X [19 December], Winter wrote: “His great legacy is the new stadium. I’ve been round and it’s magnificent. Setting obviously. But also the great sweeping stand.

Farhad Moshiri’s legacy to live on at Everton?

With the excitement building around the Toffees’ brand-new stadium, which they are set to move into ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, Winter certainly has a point about the former owner.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium is incredible. Emerging videos showing the inside, the bars, and the towering stands, should all be getting the fans giddy before the season’s end.

However, supporters will argue that the negatives far outweigh the positives when it comes to his time in charge at Goodison Park, especially when talking about the financial side of the game.

Sean Dyche’s side were handed two separate points deductions by the Premier League last season, and while it did not see them relegated, Moshiri’s silence on the situation was deafening.

The former owner rarely endeared himself to the fans, and with TFG now in charge, fans are just hoping for a new start ahead of a new era. They are just excited to see the back of Moshiri, and who can blame them?

TFG have said all the right things since claiming an interest in buying Moshiri’s controlling stake on Merseyside. Now, they just need to show what they’re made of with their actions.
