GdS: Milan expected to have key injury recoveries for Roma and Juventus games

**AC Milan boss Paulo Fonseca must manage an injury crisis for tonight’s game against Hellas Verona, but there is optimism the situation will improve.**

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) confirms, tonight against the Venetians [**the absences are as follows**](https://sempremilan.com/when-milan-can-expect-return-eight-absentees): Alessandro Florenzi, Ismael Bennacer, Luke Jovic, Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Noah Okafor and Alvaro Morata.

In terms of recoveries, Florenzi will take the longest to return having been out since the summer after surgery on the cruciate ligament in his right knee. Morata meanwhile is not a worry, as he will only not be available for Verona due to tonsillitis.

As for Pulisic, who is struggling with a calf issue sustained in the first half of the match against Atalanta, the American striker will undergo a new test at the beginning of next week to evaluate how his recovery is progressing. His goal is to return against Roma on December 29.

The same hope also applies to Bennacer and Jovic who aim to at least be on the bench against the Giallorossi. If they don’t make it for that, their return will still take place in the Supercoppa Italian early next month in Saudi Arabia.

It will be more complicated to get Loftus-Cheek, Musah and Okafor back for the trip to Saudi Arabia. The English midfielder will undergo a check-up in the next few days, while the American and Swiss are almost certainly out until beyond the Supercoppa.
