Ange Postecoglou has explained that Mikey Moore needs 'at least a couple of weeks' of training with the squad before he can be recalled to action.
The 17-year-old Academy graduate has been out of action since late November after he was hit 'pretty badly' by a virus and has been given time to recover fully before being thrust back into the intense and fast-paced environment that is professional football.
On Wednesday, Ange confirmed that the forward had returned to training after almost a month away but, when asked how far Mikey was from returning to the pitch with his team-mates, our Head Coach explained that he will still need at least a couple of weeks before he will be brought back onto the main stage.

"No, no, no," he said in response to being asked whether Mikey Moore was close to returning. "He hasn't been involved so we'll need to get a least a couple of weeks training into Mikey and get him back up to full speed. But hopefully he is not too far away."
Mikey is joined on a long list of long-term absentees which includes Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies, Wilson Odobert and Dominic Solanke while Rodrigo Bentancur remains suspended for this weekend's visit of Liverpool.
