Miguel Almiron wants to join a team in Europe should he leave Newcastle United.
That’s according to the Paraguayan’s agent Daniel Campos, who has confirmed he is listening to offers for his client.
There have been major question marks over Almiron’s future since the beginning of the year. A Saudi Pro League club - believed to be Al Shabab - came forward in January but Almiron himself opted against making the switch mid-season.

In the summer, the Magpies held talks with MLS side Charlotte FC but the two clubs were unable to agree a fee.The 30-year-old has gradually fallen down the pecking order at St James’ Park having started just two Premier League matches since the end of March.
Charlotte have again been linked with Almiron, as have Argentinian giants River Plat but Campos says Almiron wants to stay in Europe.
“There was a specific offer from Saudi Arabia, but Miguel Almiron didn’t want to go, I always prioritise sporting matters,” Campos told La Union AM. “They always call me from that market, I tell them that it is a good offer and there we will chat with Miguel.
“Newcastle changed the sporting direction of the club and there is no urgency to sell, if there are possibilities, we will see. He went through many cycles at the club and he is an idol.
“Miguel knows that if there is something, we will listen to him. It was the same coach who kept him when there were proposals, Newcastle are asking a high value for him.
“Miguel wants to stay in Europe, he succeeded there, he has more than 230 games in the Premier League. Everyone wants to get there, he had the opportunity, and he knows how difficult it is.”

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe admitted he is aware of the speculation surrounding Almiron’s future but is focused on continuing to work with the player.
“Miggy’s still absolutely Miggy in every way and I mean that as an absolute compliment - smiley, happy, focused, professional, just an unbelievable guy,” said Howe. “I can’t praise his professionalism enough this season.
“It’s been a difficult season for him because he hasn’t had the minutes he would have wanted but he’s never let that show in everything he’s delivered for us and I know he is ready to play if needed.
“I never doubt his qualities for a second, yes there has been a lot of speculation surrounding his future for a while but all I’ll ever say to any player that is contracted here and absolutely loved like Miggy, my only focus is on Miggy being here and show him the respect he deserves for his contribution to Newcastle.
