Red Devils legend Dwight Yorke has dropped a clear-cut Premier League prediction for Manchester United under Ruben Amorim and Aston Villa under Unai Emery.
Manchester United currently languish in 13th place in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are six points adrift from the top four.
Ruben Amorim oversaw the Red Devils clinch an important three Premier League points after United’s 2-1 comeback win against Manchester City last weekend.
United have endured a disastrous start to the 2024-25 Premier League campaign, with Erik ten Hag being axed in late October as United manager.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, are three points ahead of United and Unai Emery’s men are only three points behind fourth-place Nottingham Forest in the table.

Yorke’s Premier League prediction for Man Utd
Despite claiming the ultimate bragging rights over Manchester City at the Etihad, Manchester United saw their momentum take a big hit on Thursday evening.
The Red Devils travelled to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Ruben Amorim’s men were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after a 4-3 quarter-final defeat.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Speaking to Sports Lens, Dwight Yorke insisted that United’s result in the Manchester derby offered “hope” of a top-four Premier League challenge.
The 53-year-old United legend, who lifted three Premier League titles with the Red Devils, does believe it’s a “long shot” for Amorim’s side to finish in the top four.
“The result yesterday [Man City match] might have just given United a glimmer of hope, but Champions League qualification via the top four is a long shot,” Yorke said after the Manchester derby.
“That result might just kickstart them, but I know this team. This team looks like, even with that kickstart, they could lose next week.
“They’ve got every chance of losing against Tottenham on Thursday and then Bournemouth at home.
“As painful as it is to say it, Man United are one game away from collapsing again. That’s where we are right now.
“We’ve had a good few days, we’ve enjoyed beating our rivals, but this season has been terrible for us.
“We’re thirteenth in the league table! Manchester United should never been down there.”

Yorke makes Villa and Man Utd comparison
Yorke started his senior playing career at Aston Villa before legendary former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson brought him to Old Trafford.
The former United striker forged a remarkable partnership with fellow club legend Andy Cole and the pair played a key role in the famous treble win in 1999.
Yorke has claimed that former side Villa has a much more likely chance of finishing in the Premier League top four ahead of United.
“Even with a glimmer of hope, Villa are certainly ahead of United right now,” he added.
“Villa is a much more consistent team, flying in the Champions League, while United are struggling to overcome Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.
“There’s a massive gap between the two clubs at the moment and the journey both of them are on.
“Manchester United, we’re far too inconsistent. I think when you’re that inconsistent, you’re going to come up short.”
