The latest Gazzetta dello Sport report claims that Juventus and the player’s entourage have intensified talks in recent weeks, especially after Juan Cabal’s knee injury.

According to the report, Juventus are ready to make a big signing in defence in January, anticipating an investment they would have made in the summer anyway.

Gazzetta claims that Hancko is ready to push for a transfer and could even submit a transfer request next week.

Feyenoord value their star defender at €30m, but Juventus hope to negotiate a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Juventus and Feyenoord directors are on good terms. Last summer, the Dutch side signed Facundo Gonzalez on loan with an obligation to buy for €6m.

Juventus will also need to sell some of their players to raise funds for Hancko. The likes of Nicolò Fagioli and Douglas Luiz are on the market and Juventus are waiting for offers from Premier League clubs.
