A pair of headline figures in the first-team setup at Real Madrid have on Friday secured for themselves award nominations.
The pair in question? Jude Bellingham, and Arda Güler.
Beginning with the former, midfilder Bellingham, for his part, is of course in the midst of what has been a stellar individual month to date.
All told, across four La Liga appearances, the Englishman racked up six direct goal contributions, by way of four goals, and two assists.
And as much has proven enough to see Bellingham’s name put forward for the La Liga Player of the Month award for December:
Turning attentions towards Arda Güler, and the young Turk, too, has enjoyed a fine December thus far.
Though he has continued to rotate in and out of Real Madrid’s XI, Güler netted his first goal of the campaign against Girona early in the month, before laying on a pair of assists in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Rayo Vallecano last weekend.
The 19-year-old, in turn, has been named on the shortlist of nominees for La Liga’s U23 Player of the Month prize:
