According to [**L’Équipe**](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Un-lateral-droit-et-deux-centraux-esperes-priorite-a-la-defense-pour-l-om-lors-du-mercato-d-hiver/1527684), Olympique de Marseille are targeting reinforcements in defence during the winter transfer window. Roberto De Zerbi, unhappy with the club’s performances, has tasked the club with recruiting a right-back and two centre-backs in January.
Two targets have been identified by the recruitment team at Marseille. Kiliann Sidillia (22) of Freiburg has been identified as a potential option at right-back. The French Olympian hasn’t played a regular part for the Bundesliga club this season and could present an opportunistic acquisition for Les Phocéens.
The other defensive option identified by OM is Juventus right-back Danilo (33). A versatile option who can also play at centre-back, the former Manchester City defender’s contract in Turn is set to expire in June. Therefore, also representing an opportunity to recruit the player on a cut-price deal.
