Sean Dyche has confirmed that Everton's new owners The Friedkin Group (TFG) are fully supportive of him after a first meeting with the club's executive chairman Marc Watts at Finch Farm today. But the Blues boss warned that they are fully aware of the financial challenges the club will face in the January transfer window after their takeover was rubber-stamped on Thursday.
Watts and officials from TFG arrived at Finch Farm on Friday to begin work following the takeover and held a meeting with Dyche before he took part in his usual media duties ahead of Everton's fixture with Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday.
And the Everton manager cautioned that due to PSR issues the club would still need to show restraint in the January transfer window as they planned for a brighter future under new ownership.

He said: "The format moving forwards, they made it clear that they are fully supportive of me, the staff and the team going forward.
"I didn't say too much about what I want, he was asking questions about what I've learned during my time. The things we can do going forwards. Most of the on-pitch stuff they are supportive. They've made that clear. It's not about getting too involved. They have got the bigger picture (to look at).
"They made it clear that financial stability of the club is very important going forwards. There are still some challenges with PSR going forwards.
"It's not about money or no money, it's about the rules. There's only so much that can be done in the immediacy, which they know. The ongoing challenge is to correct things in the bigger picture. January will be dominated by the PSR position for he years gone by."
Dyche did have words of praise for the outgoing Farhad Moshiri, whose tenure as owner was ended after the Friedkins' purchase was completed. The British Iranian has presided over a period of turmoil in recent years following his arrival at the club eight years ago.
However Moshiri's commitment to building a new stadium on Bramley-Moore dock ensures that the club has a bright future to look forward to and Dyche says he was always supportive during his time as owner.

"I must mention, Mr Moshiri was nothing but good for me. I must say. He was very fair minded and supportive of me," he said.
"Whatever people think, he's a big force behind getting the new stadium. I think that needs to be mentioned as well. There have been some challenges and people have opinions, but I can only speak from me. From what he's done in the bigger picture will one day be looked at in the bigger picture of the club.
"The stadium, it's fair to mention his support and drive to make that happen."
