Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has backed Liverpool to win against Spurs in a “thriller” this weekend.
Ange Postecoglou’s side are not exactly watertight defensively and, speaking to football betting site BetVictor, Redknapp said that he believes the Reds’ ability to create chances could prove to be important:
“I know Southampton were poor but some of Tottenham’s football the other night was just superb. The way James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Heung-Min Son were linking up was just a joy to watch. This should be a thriller!”

“I thought Liverpool were superb with ten men against Fulham. They still created plenty of chances and really took the game to them in that second half. To me, that performance showed so much character.”
“The Spurs vs Chelsea game a few weeks ago was such a thriller, I think we’ll see something very similar here. Like that game, I think Liverpool will just edge it, but this could be anything!”
What score has Redknapp predicted?
The ex-Spurs boss has backed Arne Slot’s team to win 3-2 and maintain their lead ahead of Chelsea at the top of the table.
With the Blues playing earlier in the day against Everton, the Reds could find themselves 2nd when they kick off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium so the pressure could be on them, but Redknapp believes they will secure the three points.
