Jaden Philogene has grown into the Aston Villa first-team over the last few weeks.
The 22-year-old didn’t feature against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, but was involved in the last six games before that. He also started for Unai Emery’s side against Chelsea.
The winger had re-joined Aston Villa from Hull City in the summer transfer window and has a long-term contract, but some doubt has emerged about his future in Birmingham.
AC Milan journalist Alessandro Jacobone has reported that the Italian side are looking for a reshuffling in their wingers’ department and they are keeping an eye on Philogene, who had arrived at Villa Park for a fee of £13m.
Milan want the Englishman as a replacement for Samuel Chukwueze and the report speaks about the possibility of a swap involving the Nigerian and Philogene.
Aston Villa do like Chukwueze, with Emery having managed the winger during his time at Villarreal.
Whether a move like that can go through or not seems unlikely due to 22-year-old Philogene’s contract, which runs out in 2029.
Chukwueze, at the same time, is likely to depart Milan in January and as a result, his valuation could be much different.
