Frank Lebouef scared to call Chelsea title contenders

Frank Lebouef has been skeptical about naming Chelsea as one of the sides he believes can win the league this season.

He told ESPN that he needs to see them beat one of the big sides in the league before he can be convinced they have a chance.

He said: “I’m so scared of getting carried away and putting a curse on Chelsea. At some point, they’re going to lose a game, and I want to see how they react before saying they are capable of fighting with Liverpool and Arsenal.”

Chelsea’s next six games in Premier League title race

After the Blues have the opportunity to go top of the league against Everton, a much closer to home opponent in Fulham await them on Boxing Day.

They visit Ipswich on December 30, before starting 2025 with a home fixture against Crystal Palace.

Following a short break, the Blues will host Bournemouth followed struggling Wolves at Stamford Bridge, and their position after those games will be a great indicator as to where they may finish at the end of this season.
